Group of Biosensor Design and Signal Analysis

Leader: Qinglin Zhao

The group is mainly engaged in the design and development of biosensors, including brain-computer interfaces, coupled electrocardiography, biological radar, signal analysis and algorithm design. Its research fields include electroencephalography (EEG), electrocardiography (ECG), respiration, and other bio-signals.

Group of Biomedical Information

Leader: Zhijun Yao

The group is mainly engaged in brain imaging research. By acquiring, processing and analyzing brain imaging data, it explores the rules of the human brain in certain medical science. Based on research findings, the group develops practical and effective medical analysis systems. Its work integrates scientific research and technological development, and has trained a large number of talents with comprehensive capabilities.

Group of EEG and Eye Movement Analysis

Leader: Xiaowei Li

The group is mainly engaged in the research of biomedical data processing, machine learning, brain networks, ERP analysis and deep learning. Based on EEG and eye movement signals, it studies models for different populations such as depressive patients, highly depressive risk populations, etc., aiming to provide accurate and objective evaluation methods and biological indicators for different mental disorders.

Group of Multimodal Fusion and Knowledge Modeling

Leader: Xiaowei Zhang

The main research interest of the group is multimodal knowledge modeling and its applications based on human physiological signals and medical imaging. By representing, organizing and modeling physiological signals ( EEG, ECG, respiration, heart rate and skin impedance, etc.), medical imaging (MRI and fMRI) and demographic information (age, gender and interests, etc.), combining them with mathematical and statistical methods, fuzzy mathematics theory and knowledge base technologies, the group conducts research on models applicable to different populations (students, depressive patients, highly mental risk populations with mild cognitive impairment, etc.). The research aims to provide theoretical foundations for computing psychophysiological research, accurate, objective and real-time monitoring of abnormal emotional and mental state variations, and appropriate and timely psychological interventions.

Group of Wearable Antenna

Leader: Guoping Gao

The group is mainly engaged in the design and research of wearable antennas. By integrating antennas into clothing worn on the human body, it can conveniently acquire various bio-signals and conduct wireless transmission simultaneously.

Group of Audio and Video Research and Analysis

Leader: Zhenyu Liu

The group analyzes human emotional information through voice and video signals, assesses mental states, and applies the research findings to the evaluation of depression.

Group of Intervention System and Big Data Analysis

Leader: Hanshu Cai

The group breaks through traditional diagnosis and treatment methods for mental disorders, and explores new technologies for early identification and intervention of mental disorders, which integrate pervasive sensors, artificial intelligence computing, big data analysis, virtual reality and other related technologies.

Group of Physiological Electrical Signal Analysis and Feedback Research

Leader: Hong Peng

The group is mainly engaged in the acquisition and analysis of physiological electrical signals associated with human emotional states, sleep and fatigue, near-infrared signal analysis, as well as transcranial magnetic stimulation feedback intervention related to mental states.

Group of Facial Expression and Behavior Research

Leader: Minqiang Yang

The group is mainly engaged in the research of emotional intelligence based on facial expression and behavior data.

Group of Embodied Intelligent Robotics and Multimodal Foundation Model & Security Research for Physiological and Mental Health

Leader: Jisheng Dang

The group is mainly engaged in the diagnosis and intervention of human physiological and mental health by means of multimodal foundation model technologies. It also conducts research on embodied intelligent emotional robots, as well as general foundation models for video and text and foundation model security.
