Interim Provisions on Standardizing the Contribution and Publication of Academic Papers

  1. In order to strengthen the standardization and standardization of academic paper submission and signature, these regulations are formulated.
  2. All papers must be based on their own research work, and it is strictly forbidden to plagiarize others’ research results and ideas.
  3. The signature of the paper should reflect the actual contribution of the author in a realistic way. The author and all collaborators must actually participate in or actually guide the writing of the paper.
  4. Lanzhou University should be one of the signature units for publishing academic papers from outside the laboratory. Outsiders refer to those who are appointed by the school, the province or the relevant state departments to go abroad (or out of the country, such as Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan) for degree, interview, and further education.
  5. Each paper should indicate the funding project number and keep the content of the paper consistent with the funding project. If the paper is funded by a horizontal project, at least one relevant vertical funding project number should be added.
  6. If the paper indicates that it is funded by a fund project or a talent project, the paper fee and conference fee of the paper shall be paid by the person in charge of the project from the project fund.
  7. The laboratory personnel who publish the paper are signed by the laboratory and their intellectual property is owned by the school. Papers submitted by students before graduation and accepted after graduation, they can negotiate with the laboratory to use the student work unit as the second signature unit, and the laboratory will bear 50% of the paper fee.
  8. Each paper published by the laboratory personnel shall be marked with the name of the unit according to the following requirements. Otherwise, the relevant fees for the paper, conference fees, registration fees, etc. of the paper shall not be reimbursed. The unit name is marked as follows:

  9. Before submitting a manuscript, it must be carefully reviewed (including the content, format, signature, etc.) of the paper, strictly controlled, and it is strictly forbidden to “multiple-investment”. The submission process is as follows: 1. The paper is submitted by the laboratory responsible teacher. Firstly, the auditor is submitted to the laboratory responsible teacher for the editable document (word, latex, etc.); the teacher in charge of the laboratory is forwarded to the collaborator one by one, and each collaborator must make detailed revisions from the beginning to the end of the paper; The opinions were revised again, and finally the laboratory was responsible for finalizing and delivering the teachers. 2. The papers funded by the fund project or talent project are submitted by the project responsible teacher, and the submission process is the same as above.
  10. For papers that violate this regulation, the laboratory does not assume any responsibility, does not reimburse the page fee, does not pay other related expenses, and gives disciplinary actions such as retraction, notification and criticism according to the seriousness of the case.
  11. This regulation is interpreted by the laboratory teacher’s office meeting.
  12. These regulations shall be implemented as of the date of promulgation.
