Professor Bin Hu was Granted the Second Prize of National Technology Invention

On the morning of January 8, 2019, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council held a National Science and Technology Awards Conference in the Great Hall of the People. Party and state leaders attended the conference and presented awards to the 2018 National Science and Technology Award winners. Professor Bin Hu of the UAIS Lab, Lanzhou University as the first completion person, with Professor Qinglin Zhao and other participants involved, in the project “Key Technology and Application of Psychophysiological Information Perception” won the second prize of National Technology Invention. Professor Hu Bin attended the award ceremony on behalf of the project team.

The “Key Technologies and Applications of Psychophysiological Information Perception” covers the studies of computer science, cognitive science, and medical science. To address the difficulties in obtaining, quantification and analysis of psychophysiological information, it proposes Computational Psychophysiology and multi-modal quantitative assessment technologies for depression based on pervasive bio-signals,  speech, facial expression and eye movement, etc. The project has made major breakthroughs in the effective quantification of psychophysiological sensing and knowing and continuous monitoring. The core technologies hav been successfully applied in many enterprises and research institutions with remarkable economic and social outcomes. Compared with their counterparts at home and abroad, the overall technical indicators have reached the international advanced level, and some have led the international trends.
