Professor Zhaolong Ning’s Academic Report for Laboratory Teachers and Students

On September 2, 2020, invited by Professor Bin Hu, Zhaolong Ning, associate professor of Dalian University of Technology and distinguished professor of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, delivered a report entitled “Efficient communication and computing in mobile edge network” for teachers and students of the UAIS laboratory at Room 316, Feiyun Building.
According to the network characteristics and performance requirements of mobile Internet of things, such as high dynamic, low latency, large bandwidth and wide coverage, edge network is expected to extend communication, computing and storage resources to the user side, and meet user needs by efficient resource management of edge network. Professor Ning explored new edge network resource management methodologies in real-time efficient communication, intelligent edge computing, and resource constrained services. He reported a method to enhance the edge network service capability through the efficient management of communication, computing and storage resources.
