A Patent of UAIS Lab Won the China Patent Gold Award
On November 11, 2020, the 12th China International Patent Technology and Products Fair, themed “Intellectual Property Leads High-Quality Economic Development”, was held in Dalian. The 21st China Patent Awards were presented at the opening ceremony. Shen Changyu, Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO), Liu Ning, Deputy Secretary of the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Liaoning Province, Tan Zuojun, Member of the Standing Committee of the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Dalian Municipal Party Committee, and other guests attended the opening ceremony and awarded prizes to the winning representatives. Daren Tang, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), delivered a video speech at the conference, while Liu Hua, Director of WIPO China Office, attended the event. At the China Patent Awards Ceremony, Hu Wenhui, Deputy Commissioner of the Patent Office under the State Intellectual Property Office, announced the award decision for the 21st China Patent Awards and presented prizes to the representatives of the 30 winning entities of the China Patent Gold Award.
The 21st China Patent Awards recognized a total of 30 China Patent Gold Awards, 58 Silver Awards and 696 Excellence Awards, as well as 10 Design Gold Awards, 15 Design Silver Awards and 60 Design Excellence Awards. The invention patent “A Depression Population Identification System Combining EEG and Temperature Data (Patent No.: ZL201610709400.9)”, jointly developed by Professor Bin Hu (first inventor), Professor Qinglin Zhao and Associate Professor Hong Peng, won the China Patent Gold Award.
