On October 27, 2015, Professor Zhai Dezhong Visted UAIS Lab

Personal profile: Changjiang Scholar Distinguished Professor, National Outstanding Youth Fund Winner, National Outstanding Teacher, National Talent of the New Century Talent Project, winner of the Young Teacher Award of the Ministry of Education, Excellent Key Teacher of the Ministry of Education, Sichuan Province Academic and Technology Leader. Mainly engaged in brain-computer interface, brain imaging and brain network, music cognition and epilepsy mechanism research. At present, he has undertaken the National Natural Science Foundation’s key points, 973, and the Ministry of Education’s innovation team project, and has cooperation with many related research groups at home and abroad; 19 doctoral students have been trained. He has published more than 100 papers on SCI search in important foreign journals such as NeuroImage, Human Brain Mapping, IEEE Trans BME/MI/CAS/AP/NSRE, Phys Med Biol, Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience, PLoS One, and participated in the compilation of foreign English monographs. 4, 1 Chinese textbook, 1 monograph; won the first prize of the Natural Science of the Ministry of Education, the third prize of the Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and the second prize of the teaching achievement; and applied for 6 national invention patents.

        Professor Dezhong Yao was invited by professor Bin Hu to do an academic report at academy of Information Science and Engineering, Lanzhou University, on Oct, 27th, 2015. The lecture topic was “Electroencephalogram Research Introduction”. Dean Bin Hu attended lectures and made an opening speech. All the teachers and students of UAIS lab and other information college graduate students took an active part in the academic activities.
        Professor Dezhong Yao mainly explained several problems that existed in EEG research, including Time Domain Waveform (Reference Electrode); Space Domain Location (Source model, Head model and Non-uniqueness). Then he introduced the REST reference electrode of their research achievements. In all, this speech made each student have a deeper understanding of EEG study, and benefit a lot.
        In the end of lecture, professor Dezhong Yao communicated and discussed with teachers and students, and gave the pertinent advance to the existing problems in scientific research work to everybody.
       Finally, Professor Dezhong Yao visited the UAIS laboratory. Students presented the experiment devices and operation processes of Robot, Eyemovement, Speech and EEG.
