Professor Liu Zhuojun from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Professor Luo Junzhou from Southeast University came to our institute for academic exchanges

At the invitation of the Academy of Information, Professor Liu Zhuojun, Associate Dean of the Institute of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Luo Junzhou, Dean of Academy of Computer Science and Engineering, Southeast University, came to our school for academic exchanges on November 7th and made academic reports.

Topic 1: Opportunities and Challenges of Wi-Fi Technology
Speaker: Luo Junzhou
Report summary:
With the increasing popularity of smart terminals, the broadband of mobile communications and the emergence of various applications, the Internet is increasingly moving towards the mobile Internet. The mobile Internet has developed rapidly, data traffic has increased dramatically, and resource contradictions have emerged. Therefore, the mobile Internet needs to develop to high bandwidth and low cost, and Wi-Fi technology with mature technology, low price and high bandwidth has shown an effective means to solve wireless data coverage. This report introduces the current state of Wi-Fi technology, as well as technological breakthroughs such as Mesh interconnect, MIMO, and centralized control architecture. It describes the opportunities that wireless cities and the Internet of Things bring to Wi-Fi technology, and discusses current Wi-Fi technologies in security, management, and Roaming and business model challenges. Finally, the report introduces several research work in the field of Wi-Fi technology such as AC-AP protocol, Mesh base station, mobility management, network planning and multicast.
